About Me

How I Got Here

I have always been passionate about experiencing life's fleeting moments; a smile, a sunset, a laugh. The challenge of timing each shot perfectly to create a memory frozen in time is what brings me joy.

I focused on action shots in the early stages of my photography journey. Sports were something I grew up around and had grown familiar with throughout my entire life, so I had a pretty good feel for the flow of the game and what could happen next - which made it easy to follow the action through the lens of my camera. Witnessing the exciting moments, the game-changing plays, the heartache, and the celebrations provided an all-encompassing opportunity to capture an array of emotions and a story that could be told through imagery.

Even with all of the excitement that sports provided, I felt like I needed more from the photographs I was taking. My sports photos captured action and emotion but lacked stillness, textures, gradients, depth, and a sense of tranquility. I wanted my images to convey peace. So I turned to nature and started focusing on landscape and nightscape photography, two things I'm still passionately learning and photographing.

Throughout this entire journey, I have always enjoyed taking photographs for friends and family. These sessions were usually senior portraits, with some family and maternity sessions and a few events here and there. Doing this has made me realize how important photos are to everyone. We all want to have proof of moments otherwise gone, proof that we were here, that we had relationships, that our lives were graced by our people and our pets, that we lived and we loved.

I believe everyone deserves to have beautiful photos of those moments, and my mission through Wright Digital is to help my clients capture the joys of life through images they can keep forever.
